Liposuction
This procedure is best suited for reducing localized fat excess. Common areas of liposuction include abdomen, hip, thighs, back, buttocks, calf and upper arms.

Dr. Kim has been using Ultrasonic-Assisted Liposuction (UAL) since 1998. Instead of destroying fat cells mechanically by suction, the fat cells are emulsified (or liquefied) by the ultrasonic waves and the liquefied fat solution is then aspirated. Using this technology, postoperative bruising and swelling appears to be less than conventional liposuction. This technique allows us to perform more extensive liposuction with greater safety. Also, the surface contour irregularity (commonly seen after conventional liposuction) is significantly less frequent. This technique is particularly suited for male patients, as well as back and legs of female patients.

Postoperatively Dr. Kim asks every patient to wear a compression garment for a period of 3 months for the best possible results.
